            Care Tips for Copper Faucets

1. Daily Gentle Cleaning
-
Use mild soap & warm water with a soft sponge or microfiber cloth to wipe the faucet after each use.

-
Rinse thoroughly, then dry to prevent water spots and mineral buildup.

- Avoid abrasive pads, bleach, or harsh chemicals—they can damage the finish.

2. Remove Stains & Tarnish Naturally
-
Lemon + salt: Halve a lemon, sprinkle salt, and gently rub the faucet. Rinse well and dry.

-
DIY paste (baking soda + vinegar): Apply in circular motions for tougher discoloration.

-
Tomato paste or ketchup works as a mild acid cleaner too.

3. Maintain the Patina—or Polish It
- If you love the evolving patina, just keep cleaning gently after use.

- Want a shiny, consistent finish? Apply a thin layer of copper-safe wax monthly—this slows patina and protects against spots.

- Note: acidic foods like citrus, tomatoes, or toothpaste should never sit on the faucet as they can strip the patina.

4. Avoid Corrosives & Abrasives
-
No ammonia, bleach, or acidic cleaners – even lemon/vinegar is okay when used sparingly for occasional deep cleaning.

- Avoid metal scrubbers or brushes that scratch the surface.

5. Dry Frequently & Wipe Between Uses
- Daily drying prevents green spotting and mineral deposits—especially around the spout and base.

- Wipe faucet dry after each use to maintain shine and avoid buildup.

6. Enhance Hygiene with Copper’s Antimicrobial Properties
- Copper naturally reduces bacteria by 99.9% within hours when kept clean—an added benefit for kitchen and bathroom faucets.
